SpotJoule ("we", "us", "our") operates a peer-to-peer marketplace that connects drivers with homeowners offering driveways and parking spots. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using SpotJoule, you agree to this policy.
2. Information We Collect
- Account info: name, email, city, and details you provide when applying to host or sign up as a driver.
- Listing info: driveway location, photos, availability, pricing, and EV charger details.
- Booking info: reservation times, vehicle details, and communications between hosts and drivers.
- Payment info: processed by our third-party payment provider; we do not store full card numbers.
- Usage data: device, browser, IP address, and basic analytics.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to operate the marketplace, match drivers with available spots, process payments and payouts, send transactional messages (booking confirmations, account notices), prevent fraud and abuse, comply with the law, and improve the product.
4. Sharing
We share limited information between hosts and drivers as needed to complete a booking (e.g. spot location, contact for arrival coordination). We use trusted service providers for payments, email, hosting, mapping, and analytics. We do not sell your personal information.
5. Data Retention
We retain account and booking records for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal, tax, and dispute obligations.
6. Your Choices
You can update or delete your account at any time by contacting us. You can opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in any marketing message; you cannot opt out of essential transactional emails (e.g. booking confirmations) while your account is active.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children
SpotJoule is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice.
