Is it safe to let strangers park on my property?+
Every driver is verified with ID, license plate, and a vehicle profile before they can book. Important: SpotJoule does not provide insurance and is not responsible for any property damage, theft, or loss arising from a booking. Hosts should confirm their own homeowner's policy covers their use case.
Do I have to be home?+
No. Most hosts use contactless arrival instructions. You decide whether bookings need approval or are instant.
How is pricing decided?+
You set it. Most hosts price by the hour and the day; weekly and monthly rates are optional for longer stays.
Do I need to offer EV charging?+
No. EV charging is an optional premium amenity. Most listings are parking-only. If you do have a Level 2 charger, you can add it for an extra fee per hour.
How does ownership verification work?+
Before your listing goes public, you upload one of: utility bill, deed, mortgage statement, or property tax record. Verification typically takes 1–2 business days.
What if a driver damages my property?+
SpotJoule is a peer-to-peer marketplace and does not assume liability for damage, theft, vandalism, or personal injury. Any claim is between the host and the driver. Review your own insurance before listing.
