1. Purpose
SpotJoule is provided for legitimate peer-to-peer driveway parking and, optionally, EV charging. This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") describes conduct that is prohibited on the platform.
2. Prohibited Listings
- Spaces the Host does not have the legal right to rent.
- Spaces that violate HOA, lease, zoning, or local ordinance rules.
- Spaces used to facilitate illegal activity (drug sales, fencing stolen goods, etc.).
- Commercial lots, paid municipal lots, or spaces already restricted by another agreement.
- Unsafe spaces (uneven, unlit, structurally unsound, blocked by hazards).
3. Prohibited Driver Conduct
- Parking a vehicle other than the one disclosed at booking.
- Using a space to live in, sleep in, or operate a business from the vehicle.
- Storing oversized, unregistered, leaking, or hazardous vehicles.
- Charging an EV from a Host outlet that is not listed as an EV charging amenity.
- Tampering with the Host's property, surveillance, or charging equipment.
4. Prohibited Platform Conduct
- Creating fake accounts, listings, reviews, or messages.
- Bypassing the SpotJoule payment system (paying or accepting payment off-platform).
- Scraping, reverse-engineering, or interfering with the platform.
- Harassing, threatening, or discriminating against other users or staff.
- Posting personal information about another user without consent.
- Using SpotJoule to spam, phish, or distribute malware.
5. Reporting Violations
Report suspected violations to support@spotjoule.com with as much detail as possible (booking ID, screenshots, photos).
6. Enforcement
Violations may result in listing removal, warning, temporary suspension, permanent ban, forfeiture of pending payouts, refund issuance to the other party, and referral to law enforcement where appropriate.
